The Civil Rights Cold Case Project brings together the power of investigative reporting, narrative writing, documentary filmmaking and interactive multimedia production to reveal the long-neglected truths behind scores of race-motivated murders, and to facilitate reconciliation and healing.
The project will mobilize documentary filmmakers, print journalists, law students, victim’s families, and law makers, joining forces to create a landmark series, coordinated newspaper articles, radio programming, an innovative online database, and an archive of historic importance.
David Ridgen spearheaded the project with Paperny Films of Vancouver, BC and the Center for Investigative Reporting in Berkeley, California.
